The Create+ T500 Pro Distilling System is the complete reflux setup in one box: the Pro Column and Condenser on top of the 25L boiler, designed together and run as a single system. Stable heat from the integrated element plus the reflux action of the column is what makes runs consistent, batch after batch.
Hamish's verdict: if you want clean, neutral spirit without the trial and error of building a system yourself, this is the setup to go for. Everything is designed to work together, which takes a lot of variability out of the process. Once you have run it a couple of times, it becomes very consistent.

A note on the law: in Australia you need a licence from the ATO to distil spirits, including at home. Stills of 5L or under may be used without a licence for water purification or essential oil extraction. In New Zealand a still of up to 25L may be used at home to produce spirit for personal consumption.

What does this system produce?
High purity neutral spirit. It is built for vodka style spirit, or as a clean base for flavouring with essences.
Is this a complete distilling setup?
Yes. The 25L boiler, Pro reflux column and condenser arrive as one integrated system. Once assembled and connected to cooling water it is ready to run.
Is it suited to someone new to distilling equipment?
Yes. The components are designed to work together, which takes most of the setup decisions out of your hands, and the stable heat with the reflux column gives repeatable results once dialled in.
How does it compare to a pot still?
Reflux distillation strips more impurities, so the spirit comes out cleaner and more neutral. A pot still carries more of the wash character through. Run reflux for neutral spirit and pot for flavour driven runs.
What do I need to run it?
A water supply for condenser cooling and a fermented wash to distil.
