Turbo 500 Copper Pro Kit - T500 & Filter Pro
The copper Turbo 500 paired with the Filter Pro, so you distil and polish in the one setup. Copper strips sulphur on the way through and the Filter Pro deals with whatever is left afterwards. Note the boiler is not included and is bought separately.

The details
The Turbo 500 Copper Pro Kit puts the copper T500 column together with the Filter Pro. The copper column comes pre-packed and ready to run, producing high purity spirit at around 92% ABV while the copper itself works on sulphur compounds in the vapour. The Filter Pro then takes the diluted spirit through 500g of activated carbon for the final polish.
Your first wash, fermented on the included 6kg Production Pack, delivers roughly 3.5L of distillate at 92% ABV; diluted and filtered that is about 7.5 to 8 litres of finished spirit at 40%.
The boiler is not included; the kit needs the Still Spirits 25L boiler, sold separately.
Hamish's verdict: copper plus filtration is the combination for the smoothest neutral spirit this range makes. If the budget stretches this far, nothing else in the T500 line finishes cleaner.
A note on the law: in Australia you need a licence from the ATO to distil spirits, including at home. Stills of 5L or under may be used without a licence for water purification or essential oil extraction. In New Zealand a still of up to 25L may be used at home to produce spirit for personal consumption.

Quick answers
Questions about this product, shipping and orders. See the FAQ page for more topics.
Monday to Friday, 9-4pm AEST.We normally get back to you within a day—often sooner.
Will the T500 fit the boiler I already have?
It fits the Still Spirits Create+ boiler and the Grainfather G30, G40 and G70. Running something else? Ask us before you buy and we'll confirm it.
How much spirit does one run make?
A 25L wash yields around 3.5 litres at up to 92% ABV. Diluted and carbon polished, that becomes your first 8L batch.
Is the cooling water hard to manage?
It takes a little practice to dial in. The water flow regulator holds the temperature for you; it's the add-on owners say they wish they'd bought on day one.
Can it make whisky, gin or rum, or just neutral spirit?
In reflux mode the T500 makes a clean neutral spirit, perfect for essences and gin botanicals. For pot-distilled whisky and rum character, the alembic pot top is the next step; it comes bundled in the Ultimate kit.
Do carbon fines end up in the spirit?
A few can show up on the first pour. Filter Pro papers catch them.
Is it legal to own a still in Australia?
Yes, stills are legal to buy and own. Distilling alcohol requires an excise manufacturer licence from the ATO; distilling water or essential oils needs no licence.
