The details
The best all-round turbo for summer, with everything for one clean 25L wash and the carbon for your Filter Pro.
Inside you get:
- 1 x Still Spirits Classic 6 Turbo Yeast
- 1 x Still Spirits Turbo Carbon
- 1 x Still Spirits Turbo Clear
- 7kg dextrose
- 500g activated granular carbon
Just add water. That's $20 less than our 6kg Turbo Sugar pack.
Built for hot weather
Classic 6 ferments between 15C and 30C air temperature and copes with the heat your wash makes at its peak. That makes it the safe pick for summer, when shed temperatures climb and other turbos can stall. In the warm it ferments out in 4 to 5 days.
Why 7kg of dextrose
Dextrose ferments clean. A 7kg wash also gives you more alcohol: around 3.8L at 93% ABV per batch through a Turbo 500, compared with about 3.6L from 6kg of Turbo Sugar.
Clean from wash to bottle
Turbo Carbon goes in at the start and removes impurities while the wash ferments. Turbo Clear drops over 95% of yeast and solids within 24 hours, so dead yeast stays out of your still. After distilling, run your spirit through your Filter Pro with the 500g activated carbon for the final polish.
How to use
- Dissolve the 7kg of dextrose in your fermenter and top up to 25L.
- Stir in the Turbo Carbon, then pitch the Classic 6.
- Ferment at 15C to 30C. It takes 4 to 5 days in the warm and up to 9 to 10 days in the cold.
- Once fermentation finishes, stir in the Turbo Clear and leave it for 24 hours.
- Rack the clear wash off the sediment and distil.
- Dilute, then filter through your Filter Pro using the 500g carbon.
