Still Spirits Schnapps Liqueur Base is the 300g sugar and body pack that turns a Top Shelf schnapps flavouring and neutral spirit into a finished schnapps. Every Top Shelf schnapps flavouring, whatever the fruit, uses this one base.
What it does
A schnapps is a sweet fruit liqueur, and the flavouring on its own is just flavour. This pack supplies the sugar and the light body that make it pour and taste like a schnapps rather than a fruit-flavoured vodka. Still Spirits describes it as giving "the ideal finished thickness and sweetness to schnapps". It is a little lighter than the A, B and C liqueur bases, which suits the clean fruit styles.
Which flavourings use it
In our range: Banana, Peach, Pear and Strawberry Schnapps. One pack per flavouring, so buy four if you are making all four.
How to use it
Put the amount of 40% ABV neutral spirit stated on the flavouring bottle into a large jug (650ml for the four schnapps above), add the base slowly while whisking so it does not clump, add the flavouring, and top up to 1.125 litres with water. It is ready the same day.
