Still Spirits Liqueur Base A is the 220g sugar and body pack that turns a Top Shelf liqueur flavouring and neutral spirit into a finished liqueur. Every Top Shelf liqueur is marked A, B or C, and the letter tells you which base to buy. This is the A.
What it does
A liqueur is a spirit with sweetness and body. The flavouring gives the taste, the neutral spirit gives the strength, and the base gives the mouthfeel and sugar that make it pour like a liqueur rather than a flavoured vodka. Still Spirits describes it as giving "the ideal finished thickness and sweetness to Top Shelf Liqueurs". Base A is the lightest of the three.

How to use it
Put the amount of 40% ABV neutral spirit stated on the flavouring bottle into a large jug, add the base slowly while whisking so it does not clump, add the flavouring, and top up to 1.125 litres with water. One pack makes one 1.125 litre batch.
