Carapils is a Crystal grain and is perfect for pilsners, lagers and very pale ales. As a crystal grain it does not require mashing. However it must be noted that it does not contain mashing enzymes, due to the kilning process. Carapils imparts a very slight colour and flavour to one’s beer, all the while improving body and mouth feel. EBC 5.5 – 6.5
