Tropical sherbet ice-cream in a hazy IPA! A creamy mouthfeel from the added lactose rounds out this fruity, hoppy bigger-than-average ale. Sweet !!!
Please note we recommend the addition of a Hop & Grain Strainer Bag to reduce hop sediment in your brew

Milkshake IPA Batch #1By: Will Younger on 2 August 2021I've gotta say, when I came into the store looking to get a punchy, hoppy IPA recipe kit I wasn't expecting to be recommended this! Having let this sit for a while now after bottling, and having had my first taste a few days ago now, it is sensational! Quite Hoppy (however I reckon it could be even hoppier, maybe add an additional dry hop right on the last day before bottling), but doesn't detract from the rest of the flavours. It has an incredibly clean and crisp finish for a lactose beer - If you're looking for more of a creamier finish, I'd suggest doubling, or even potentially tripling the lactose content to get that real smooth finish. Definitely one I want to try and make again, with the aforementioned tweaks to hone this one to my ideal preferences - 9/10 would brew again!
