Columbus is a dual-purpose hop best suited to late boil additions & dry hopping in a wide range of beer styles. One of the classic US “C” hops alongside Cascade & Chinook, Columbus produces an earthy, herbaceous character accompanied by punchy lemon-like citrus notes.

• Its exact lineage lost to history, Columbus was originally released under the name Tomahawk by Yakima Chief hop growers, after being developed by Chuck Zimmerman, one of the great pioneers of hop-breeding in the US.
