We have done many test brews to get this close to the original Fat Yak Beer that was packed full of New Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin hops. When we say “original” we mean the very first Fat Yak that was released before the brewery reduced the hops to broaden the beer’s mass-market appeal. Ours has heaps of hop flavour.

We called it the Fat Yak project. We discovered two sensational recipes and this is version #1. The crucial hop variety is the famous New Zealand Nelson Sauvin from the Marlborough region.
