This Australian grown variety of Traditional malt is kilned at a slightly higher temperature than other malts such as Export Pilsner Malt. The result is a darker hued beer when used as a base malt with an increased range of flavours including caramel, biscuit and toffee. Typically this malt is suited to most ales as well as some of the darker ales (as a base malt) Approx EBC Range 5.5 -> 7
